Antique 9ct Gold Longguard Chain
Originally worn by the ladies to secure their fob watch, or other essential items to their person, the longguard has become a modern day staple. However, they are getting harder to find at the original length. You see the chains are so good, they are always being chopped up to make multiple shorter chains, I get it, it’s commercial thinking, but I am generally one to keep these antique beauties in their original state.
This babe can be looped up to three times, it’s the classic, perfect long guard, with those softly faceted links, which provide a really substantial chain for you to wear as you wish. The dog clip can be used to hang all sorts of pendants and fobs from, but you can also clip it to the chain to shorten it. The dog clip and jump ring it hangs from is also faceted to match the chain. We’ll 100% OG here. It’s a dreamy piece, in perfect condition.
