Antique Rolled 18ct Gold Albert Chain
This beautiful chain is a perfect example of not compromising on quality, with a smaller budget. This chain is every inch as well made as its solid gold counterparts, yet it is made from rolled gold, to allow the wearer to keep up with current fashions, despite not having the dollar bucks.
There is much confusion regarding non-solid gold jewellery. Think of rolled gold as a sandwich; sheets of gold are placed either side of sheet of base metal (often brass) and this is rolled out and heated to bond the metals. The piece of jewellery is made from this material. Rolled gold has about 5% gold content, far more than gold plating. SO much more hard-wearing than gold plated, it is designed to last.
This chain has a lovely rosy tone, it just looks so chic, with our favourite white t or smart silk shirt, you can’t go wrong.
