Victorian 9ct Gold Albertina Bracelet

£495.00

This super pretty bracelet dates back to the Victorian era. Known as an Albertina, it is the lady’s version of what we know as the Albert chain, loved by fashionable men of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Crafted in 9ct gold, it has that typical warmth of antique gold, and the piece is just perfect. We have a barrel shaped slider fitted to the two rows of double belcher link chain, and at either end is an almost holly leaf shaped attachment, each one engraved with individual foliate decoration. A petite dog clip and t-bar finish the bracelet off o perfection, the dimensions and proportions are spot on. There is an extra length of chain with a small jump ring which could be used to extend if needed, or to attach a charm to. Of course it could be removed if not wanted.

This is a really special bit of wrist candy, it has survived around 140 years and remains in wonerful condition (often I see these bracelets and the pretty spacers/sliders have been mangled, or they are just not original/right).
