Antique Gilded Silver Albert Chain
A first glance, this looks like the perfect gold Albert chain, but, well, I guess the title gives the game away! This is in fact the perfect antique SILVER chain that was gilded (a while ago). I bought it because it looks fantastic, it was a beautiful chain to begin with and it has had a little glow up. The links are non-graduated and the t-bar slides, it looks fantastic on. Because the gilding was done a while ago, there are signs of the gilding wearing off. It can of course be re-gilded (or indeed stripped if you ever wanted to go back to silver), but I love it how it is. It is what it is, a gorgeous antique silver chain that was once gilded. We're not trying to fool anyone here, except it WILL fool people when you wear it!
Whether you can't stretch to a gold Albert chain, or you want a less expensive piece you can wear anywhere without worrying about the value around your neck, or the perfect holiday chain, this baby does the job.
