Antique 15ct Gold Lover's Knot Ring
This ring got me in the feels. Yes it’s not big a sparkly and all singing all dancing but it perfect, and beautiful, and sentimental and gorgeously made in 15ct (always a favourite) and that little cushion diamond really sets it apart from other similar examples (pauses for breath).
Why ‘lover’s knot’ you ask? Well the gorgeously soppy idea behind this motif, is that the harder you pull, the tighter it becomes. As in if you are apart, or facing adversity, the closer you become. Waaaah.
This ring is so wonderful in it’s simplicity, but the little cushion cut diamond (mounted with a platinum top on the gold) is just ‘chef’s kiss’. The sinuous lines are soothing and balanced, it’s a real work of art.
